BBC RADIO DEVON
For almost three years Mary was a guest of the very popular broadcaster, Vic Morgan. Circumstances change.... the BBC closed the studio on St. David's Hill in Exeter during the summer of 2015, and Vic then worked out of the Plymouth studio.
Mary continued to guest on his show until the October of 2015, when Vic retired..... she loved working with him, and wishes him a long and very happy retirement, which will, she is sure, be full of interesting projects, not to mention cycle rides !!
10Radio - serving the ten parishes around Wiveliscombe
Mary carried out her first broadcast on 10Radio on Friday 13th November 2015, and enjoyed it very much indeed. It was a different set up as you might imagine. This is Community Radio at its very best and it was a delight to be there. Pauline and Anton helped me along the way, as I spent an interesting half hour on the Community Show.
I will be joining them on the 2nd Friday of every month on the COMMUNITY SHOW with Pauline and Anton for our spot which is entitled 'Bringing the Past into the Present', at around 10.30am til 11.00am Listen out for us - it's bound to be fun!!
If you listen to 10Radio let Mary have your feedback - where are you? We know we have listeners as far away as Hemyock, and can be received in the A303 area around Ilminster, but she would love to hear from you if you are elsewhere, and not listening on the net.

Sunday mornings on the Jo Loosemore Show
Jo has kindly invited me to 'guest' on her popular Sunday Morning Show on BBC Radio Devon. As you may know Jo has a particular interest in heritage of all kinds, so I hope that my contribution to the show will be enjoyed by her listeners.....
During June Mary could be heard on Jo's Sunday Morning Show - today, 5th June, when we discussed Roy from Exeter and how his family history went back to Rollo the Viking via the exploding King William the Conqueror.
10 Radio, Somerset - every 2nd Friday of the month with Pauline and Anton as I look through some fascinating histories from the past. What about the Cornishman who ended up recruiting and training the first EVER regiment of Coloured Soldiers during the American Civil War and has a street named after him on Staten Island??? Both he and his Cornish wife were multiple bigamists as well!
10Radio is the community radio station for the Ten Parishes of Ashbrittle, Bathealton, Brompton Ralph, Chipstable, Clatworthy, Fitzhead, Huish Champflower, Milverton, Stawley and Wiveliscombe in Somerset.
